Swakop Uranium’s executive vice president, Irvinne Simataa has confirmed that the Beifang Mining Services employee, who was involved in a serious incident where a mining dump truck fell into one of the pits at the Husab Mine yesterday, is doing well and is in good spirits. Simaata made the announcement in a statement released on Wednesday evening. He said the injured employee is currently in the care of a medical team and under observation at a private hospital in Swakopmund. He added that all mining operations have resumed while an investigation into the incident is underway.
