Staff Reporter Some former Air Namibia employees have reportedly put in an objection with the Master of High Court due to reduced severance packages. According to a former senior cabin controller at the airline who preferred anonymity, the employees received their severance packages early last year December, however it was not the amount agreed upon. “They reduced our severance packages without informing or even consulting us the preferred creditors. Staff Reporter Namibia has recorded 119 positive Covid-19 case between 9 and 10 January 2023 which is an 80 percent hike from 66 cases the previous week and three deaths linked to the virus. According to the update by Minister of health and Social Services Kalumbi Shangula 36 cases are from Khomas region , 23 Omusati, 22 Kavango East, 10 Oshikoto, nine Ohangwena, eight Oshana and two from Hardap region. The two suspects appeared in the Mariental magistrate’s court today.
