The Brave Gladiators, Namibia’s national senior women’s football team, are set to face Eswatini without key international player Zenatha Coleman.

Head coach Woody Jacobs announced on Monday that several experienced players will be unavailable for the first leg of the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifying campaign.

“We intend to go all out in this round, the team is well prepared and in high spirits, and the players are above the bar in terms of fitness levels because they have been playing in the FNB Women’s Super League. No major injuries have been reported but the team will have to do without Zenatha Coleman, Vewe Kotjipati and Twelikondjela Amukuto,” he said.

Despite the absence of these key players, Jacobs expressed confidence in the remaining squad, particularly the senior members and the experience they bring to the match.

The final squad of 21 players is set to face Eswatini at the Somhlolo National Stadium at 13:00 on 21 February, with the return leg scheduled for 26 February at Dobsonville Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa, at 15:00.

The 21 players are Narise Gwenneth Joyce, Matheus Melissa, #Khuruses Sarafina Nonny, Kahiriri Utuzuvira, Nanamus Lydiana Ottonika, Katuta Iina Indapewa, Mulunga Lovisa Tuyakula, Rutjindo Julia Usuta, Andreas Aune Ndakomesho, Tjingaete Vijakura, Uueziua Beverly, Somses Anna-Ida Heidi, Daries Shanice Blanche, Kanyama Hilma, Ngonda Memory, Lebang Nancy Biopelo, Hikuam Milicent Felicity, Angula Asteria Onesmushi, Kooper Ivonne, Vliete Fiola and Blou Juliana.
