Eba Kandovazu NAMPOWER has made a u-turn on its decision last week to disconnect electricity supply to Kombat today, because of a N$29 million outstanding debt from Congo Namibia Trading. Nampower says the disconnection will now be carried out on 11 March in the morning. The former Kombat mine owners, Congo Namibia Trading, who received bulk electricity supply from Nampower, were also supplying the village using the same supply point as the Kombat mine. Eba Kandovazu A 38-year-old man who is accused of having raped the daughter of his girlfriend repeated between 2018 and 2019 has been denied bail after making his first court appearance in the Oshakati Magistrate’s Court. Capricorn group records 23% profit increase in 2021

Tujoromajo Kasuto Capricorn Group, a Namibia-based investment holding company, reported a profit of 580 million dollars in 2021, a 23 percent increase over the previous financial cycle's profit of 469.1 million. When compared to the six months ended 31 December 2020, the Namibian and Botswana economies benefited from a better operating environment and less stringent COVID-19 restrictions during the six months ended 31 December 2021.
