Debmarine Namibia Premier League side Julinho Sporting Football Club has confirmed the departure of Dino Ballotti as chairman, following his appointment as deputy minister of education, innovation, youth, sport, arts and culture.

The club announced that Fabio do Rego will take over as chairman.

The club vice president, Norton Luis, said the leadership change was necessary to avoid any conflict of interest and to uphold the integrity of the sport.

Luis described Do Rego as a committed football supporter with a clear vision for the club’s future.

“We are proud of Honourable Dino Ballotti and grateful for his incredible leadership. As we welcome Fabio Do Rego, we’re confident Julinho’s future is brighter than ever,” said Luis.

Ballotti thanked the club for the opportunity to lead and said he remains confident in its direction.

“It has been an honour to serve this great club. I leave with full confidence in its direction and leadership,” Ballotti said.

Do Rego said he is ready to take on the responsibility and build on the foundation laid by Ballotti.

“I am humbled to step into this role. With passion, purpose, and unity, we’re ready for the next chapter,” he said.

Julinho FC is scheduled to face Blue Waters on Saturday at the Rundu Sports Stadium, followed by a match against Blue Boys on Sunday at the same venue.
