Tujoromajo Kasuto A CHINESE employer identified as Li Bailong, who stripped 24-year- old Ruth George naked in full view of the public last Sunday, has today been granted bail of N$1000 by Magistrate Johannes Shuuveni. Bailong briefly appeared in the Katutura Magistrate Court. He was granted bail on condition that he hands over his passport and does not leave the country. The case has been postponed to the February next year for further investigations. Eba Kandovazu FORMER Fishcor Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mike Nghipunya, has this afternoon denied he owned 50 percent of shares in a company the State alleges he co-owns with one of the suspects, Phillipus Mwapopi. The close corporation company, Wanakadu Investment, is accused of selling dried fish to Fishcor for N$4,2 million. State Advcocate Cliff Lutibezi disclosed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Mwapopi and Nghipunya. In the MOU, Nghipunya appears to be a silent partner. The former employees only received their 12-month salaries, totaling about N$278 million. The matter will be heard on 17 November. Eba Kandovazu THE Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) says it would not be revoking the license of Hoodia Desert Lodge after it was accused of denying entry to a Russian woman, as the lodge seemingly adopted a policy which denies admission to Russian nationals because they are "aggressive" or "rude" when intoxicated.
