Africa Bitcoin Corporation Ltd (ABC), which is listed on the Namibia Securities Exchange (NSX), is set to broaden its international market presence with a secondary listing on the Access segment of the Aquis Growth Market in the United Kingdom from 17 August.

The company, which trades on the NSX under the ticker BAN, announced that trading of its ordinary shares on Aquis is expected to begin on 17 August, following approval for admission to the market.

ABC has also raised £250,000 (approximately N$5.54 million) before expenses through a conditional private placement of 1 086 957 new ordinary shares at an issue price of 23 pence (about N$5.10) per share. The proceeds will be used for general working capital requirements.

The company’s ordinary shares are already listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), A2X, and the Namibia Securities Exchange, while also trading on the OTCQB market in the United States and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

The company describes itself as the world’s first Bitcoin-backed SME growth accelerator and the first publicly listed African company to adopt a Bitcoin Treasury Strategy.

ABC provides SMEs with a range of financial solutions, including non-bank debt financing, insurance products and customised financial services.

The company said its Bitcoin Treasury Strategy is designed to strengthen its balance sheet and protect capital against currency depreciation and inflation pressures.

It said Bitcoin holdings will not be sold to fund routine SME lending or daily operations, but will instead serve as an additional treasury asset supporting its lending activities.

As at the announcement date, ABC held 5.5331 Bitcoin, acquired at an average price of approximately R1.53 million (about £68,901) per Bitcoin.

The company has supported several businesses through capital raising and financing initiatives, including the Altvest Credit Opportunities Fund Limited (ACOF), Umganu Lodge and the Bambanani Family Group.

ACOF, a non-bank lending platform structured through a combination of equity and listed debt instruments, had grown its assets under management to N$512 million (approximately £23.1 million) as at 31 May 2026.

The fund has issued 59 loans to 45 companies operating across 23 industries, supporting and creating 2,406 jobs. The average loan size stands at about N$6.18 million, with an average interest rate of 18.3% and average loan security cover of 2.6 times.

ABC reported that the loan portfolio has performed strongly, with bad debts written off accounting for only 0.09% of the total loan book.
