Drugs with a combined value of N$11.9 million were confiscated on Saturday at Trans Kalahari border post.
13 Namibian men and one Congolese national were arrested after they were found in possession of 314 parcels of cannabis weighing 357,320 grams, crack cocaine weighing 390 grams and Mandrax tablets.
In another incident, drugs worth N$101 000 were confiscated on Saturday in Otjiwarongo’s at Ombili location. One male suspect was arrested after he was found in possession of 53 parcels of cannabis.
On the same day in Katima Mulilo at Ngweza location, it is alleged that a 28-year-old Namibian male was arrested after he was found in possession of cannabis and suspected stolen item. He was allegedly found in possession of 14 pouches of pure cannabis and a suspected stolen cell phone.
In another incident, an adult male was arrested in Karibib at a temporary roadblock at Saks. He was found in possession of 300 full Mandrax tablets with a value of N$36 000 during a Police search.
On Thursday between Windhoek and Rehoboth on the B-1 road, it is alleged that during a Police
search a 27-year-old male suspect was arrested after he was found in possession of one full parcel
of cannabis, 30 packs of Yes cigarettes valued at N$11 600.
