Namibia Economic Freedom Fighters (NEFF)’s Elias Ndemuweda has urged unemployed graduates to vote for the party’s presidential candidate, Epaphras Mukwiilongo, and other aspiring legislative representatives.
Ndemuweda reminded the unemployed graduates of their struggles in a statement over the weekend.
‘’This symbolised that, in an independent Namibia, there are young people who have completed their education but remain unemployed. On that day, we coined the words: ‘They say education is the key, but once you get that key—they change the locks.’ This fact remains true to date,” he said.
He added that NEFF’s policy position is the reformation of the failing education system leading to joblessness among graduates.
“Vote for the legislation of compulsory and secure internship programs between academia and the labour market—addressing the mismatch in knowledge and job market-required skills,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mukwiilongo has called upon Namibians to rally behind the party and make a decisive decision that can bring change into their lives by voting for NEF.
Mukwiilongo was speaking at the party’s final rally at Okatana in the Oshana Region over the weekend.
He stated that NEFF has shown its dedication to improving Namibians’ lives by assisting oppressed workers in obtaining justice and better working conditions.
