Former Namibia Football Association Secretary General Barry Rukoro has been banned from contesting National Unity Democratic Organisation (NUDO) presidency position at the party’s elective congress in Windhoek Ramatex.
NUDO Secretary General Joseph Kauandenge announced in a media statement on Saturday afternoon that the party’s National Council (Central Committee), the highest decision-making body between Congress, has taken a resolution that Rukoro is not a member of NUDO. Therefore, he cannot participate in the party’s National Congress or stand for any elected position.
‘’The National Council have been delayed due to a host of issues that needed to be ironed out first since yesterday and now that this issues have been ironed out, the party Congress will continue ahead albeit being delayed at 18hoo Saturday 13 July 2024, When the party President Dr. Ester Utjiua Muinjangue will officially open the Congress,’’ said Kauandenge.
