The Independent Patriots for Change’s (IPC) leader, Panduleni Itula, says that he does not want people to leave their political parties, but they should rather vote for change.
He made these remarks during the launch campaign, titled “Go out and register to vote,” over the weekend at Walvis Bay.
“As I went through Okakarara, they asked me, Do you want us to leave our political parties and join the IPC? and I said no. Stay in the political party that you are; many of you have been there for many years. But go into that booth and vote for change,” said Itula.
He encouraged those who were eligible to vote to go out in numbers and register for the new voter cards.
The registration process starts on Monday until 1 August for the presidential and national assembly elections.
Itula said that when Namibia gained independence, it was determined to secure the future for many to come.
According to him, the current generation must secure economic prosperity and national wealth.
Itula emphasized that he is willing to serve the God-fearing nation and believes that a future is in the making.
When reminiscing about his campaign journey as an independent presidential candidate three years ago, Itula is adamant that many Namibians are ready for a change.
Itula stated that during his campaign journey across regions, he could see the pain in the eyes of many Namibians, and when he asked people about which Namibia they wanted to see.
According to him, the money is on Namibian soil, and that it will not come from elsewhere.
“All people need to do is to legislate in order to lay their hands on it. It’s simple as that we have all the means to do so. Many have created the idea of so-called 101 cars, but it’s all wrong,” Itula said.
Last year Itula said that IPC has N$600 billion hidden somewhere in Namibia that the party will unleash and develop the country.
