Namibia Airport Company (NAC), said the death of President Geingob has silenced a dynamic leader and his absence will be deeply missed by all.
The NAC Board, management and staff said this while paying tribute to the late President, who passed early on Sunday morning in a Windhoek hospital.
“The Board, management and staff of the Namibia Airports Company are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our dear President, His Excellency Dr Hage Geingob, the third President of Namibia.
His tragic departure has silenced a dynamic leader, and his absence from our daily lives will be deeply mourned by all. His leadership and his accomplishments will remain a legacy for all of his fellow Namibians, we are richer for his memory, and Namibia can be justly proud of his leadership and his life.
We extend our sincere condolences to his family and the people of Namibia. Dr Geingob’s selflessness was truly remarkable and inspiring in his quest to unite Namibians, in the spirit of working together for the country’s prosperity,” said NAC.
The airports company added that during his tenure as President, Dr Geingob’s wisdom and decisive leadership culminated in the inauguration of modern terminal buildings at the Andimba Toivo Ya Toivo Airport at Ondangwa and the Walvis Bay International Airport.
A brand-new fire station at Eros Airport as well as the revamp and extension of the Hosea Kutako International Airport’s terminal building to decongest Namibia’s main gateway to the world, truly speaks volumes about President Geingob’s leadership and development dedication.
