Gondwana Collection Namibia, the country’s leading private tourism operator, has initiated an exciting construction project for its car rental service, Namibia2Go, near Windhoek’s Hosea Kutako International Airport (HKIA).
This exciting development was announced during a groundbreaking ceremony last Friday, signaling a significant step forward with the facility’s expected opening in September 2024.
Namibia2Go, known for its quality service in car rentals, is gearing up to establish its new base at the turn-off from B6 Road, leading to Namibia’s primary international airport.
The company acquired two erven in the Sungate precinct early in 2020 for this purpose.
Alain Noirfalise, Gondwana’s Operations Director, announced at the ceremony the company is thrilled to partner with architect Sven-Erik Staby from Staby Design and main contractor Gaia Investments P/L for this pioneering project. Th e project is clear evidence of Gondwana’s dedication to enhancing its services and ensuring an exceptional guest experience.Since its inception, Namibia2Go has seen remarkable growth. After moving from Bismarck Street to Bassingthwaighte Street in Klein Windhoek in 2019, the company has expanded its team to 32 members and its fleet to 278 vehicles across various categories.
With this growth, the need for a larger, more advanced facility has become evident.
The state-of-the-art facility, designed by Sven-Erik Staby in collaboration with GAIA Investments, is poised to redefine the guest experience.
It aims to provide convenient access to car rental services for travellers arriving at HKIA and reflects Gondwana’s commitment to excellence in the tourism sector.
