In response to the pressing unemployment challenges that fresh graduates in Namibia confront, Old Mutual Namibia is taking proactive steps to alleviate this load and have a significant influence on the nationās workforce.
Recognising the need to assist young talent, Old Mutual Namibia has resumed their exciting program, which welcomes recent graduates to apply for a one-of-a-kind opportunity to obtain market-relevant skills, thereby setting them for success in the job market.
Old Mutual Namibia Group Marketing, Public Affairs, and Sustainability Executive, Mignon du Preez highlighted the companyās commitment to developing indigenous talent.
She said, āAt Old Mutual Namibia, we believe in the power of investing in our future leaders.
We hope that by launching this project, we will be able to provide young graduates with hands-on experience and expose them to a diversified work environment, allowing them to flourish in their careers and make major contributions to our society.ā
The response to the initiative was remarkable, and after a rigorous selection process Old Mutual Namibia proudly welcomed 17 exceptional graduates to its ranks, such as Paula Nantinda, Johanna Muulyao, Magdalena Nekongo, Izane Am-Gabes, Erich Nakale, Turipamwe Mbetjiha, Paulina Malakia, Anuschka Forbes, Pecky Nghaamwa, Erastus Ndhishoono, Jo-Marie Swartz, Delane Rittmann, Keannen Kolz, Bonita Salomo, Charles Naobeb, Anna-Lisa Seibes and Andreas Paulus.
Old Mutual Namibia Human Capital Executive, Toini Muteka emphasised the companyās sense of responsibility to the nationās youth.
āThousands of talented graduates find themselves without exposure to the working world. As a responsible corporate citizen, we are committed to bridging this gap by giving 17 graduates hands-on exposure and the opportunity to apply their education. This chance allows individuals to find their full potential and pursue several career options in the workplace,ā she said.
Muteka expressed her joy at the chance being extended to young Namibian grads.
