FNB Namibia recently launched its annual Whisky Festival that will be taking place for the first time ever in Ongwediva Oshana region on the 3rd of June and in Windhoek, Khomas region on the 10 June, respectively.
The FNB Whisky Festival offers a platform for whisky lovers to participate in a tasting experience to suit their distinctive palates, from the ‘curious’ newcomer to the seasoned connoisseur. Festival guests will learn how to get the most from every dram as Whisky experts guide them through samples from a selection of Whiskies from distilleries around the world.
The Festival aims to connect spirit drinkers with expert-master distillers and brand ambassadors, allowing them to share their knowledge and passion for excellence, and share inhouse stories about the journeys and experiences behind their brands and products.
Speaking at the launch, FNB Namibia Executive Officer for Retail Banking Nangula Kauluma invited the public to visit the FNB Whisky Festival either in the North or in Windhoek (or both) and experience the finer things in life this June.
“True to the FNB brand, the 2-day Festival will be as distinctive, distinguished as the beverages on offer, and as diverse as our customers from the bold, young adventurous first-timer to the matured connoisseur. Come and broaden your horizons, share your stories, try something new and connect with creators of some of the finest spirits around the world. We look forward to seeing you there” she said.
Guests can expect a range of international brands from smooth Irish Whiskeys, Scottish single malts, and blends from the Scottish Highlands and Lowlands to the strongly contrasting American Whiskeys & Bourbons, and the complex flavour profiles of South African whiskeys. There will also be a selection of MCCs from the Verve Cliquot and Lournesford wineries to explore.
The FNB Whisky Festival is taking place on 3 June at Queen Hall, Ongwediva Trade Fair Centre, and 10 June at the Windhoek Country Club. Tickets are available at Webtickets/Pick ’n Pay for N$ 250 and N$ 300 at the door.
