Pick n Pay Namibia, a subsidiary of the Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group, officially opened the doors of its new Pick n Pay Express Store at the Namcor Soweto service station in Katutura, Windhoek last week. This new store is Pick n Pay Namibia’s second owner-managed Express Store.
Speaking at the opening of the store, Pick n Pay Express Namcor Soweto service station owner, David Ilonga said opening the shop was not an easy journey.
“We believe that this new business will not only create jobs for people in the surrounding communities but will also eliminate the need for people to walk or drive long distances to access retail facilities and petroleum products”, said IIonga.
Pick n Pay Express Soweto Store Manager, Trevor Kwenani, expressed his excitement about the introduction of the new store to its customers and suppliers, lamenting that the store will cater for all and minimize the shortcomings Soweto residents face when it comes to the availability of food.
“We are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We take care of your needs when you cannot reach other outlets, at any time, so you don’t need to worry when you forget to buy bread for yourself or the kids”, said Kwenani.
Meanwhile, Pick n Pay Namibia Managing Director, Graeme Mouton reiterated that a great team working tirelessly, training staff, merchandising the store and getting systems in place made it possible.
“Let me take advantage of this opportunity to welcome the Site Owners, David Ilonga and Roland Jacobs, as well as the Store Manager, Trevor Kwenani, and their entire team to our Pick n Pay family.
