A man in Kavango West Region killed his mother after he hacked her with a hoe on the head, on Sunday.
The 53-year-old woman who was identified as Anastasia Tjangano died on the spot.
It is alleged that an argument broke out between the son and the deceased, resulting in the deadly incident.
The police have arrested the 25-year-old suspect, and investigations continue. The victim’s next of kin are informed.
Meanwhile, a 35-year-old Namibian female by the name of Diana Ames died suddenly at home after she collapsed.
The incident happened last week Friday between 10h40 and 10h52 at the DRC location at Swakopmund in the Erongo Region.
It is alleged that the deceased told her husband that she wants to drink sugar water, but before he could make sugar water for her, she collapsed.
The husband ran to the DRC clinic in order to get medical personnel’s assistance. Police say the Nurse who attended to the deceased at the scene found no signs of life.
The Police have since transported her remains to the Swakopmund State Hospital for a postmortem. Still on Sunday, a woman, aged 19, killed her boyfriend.
The incident happened in Windhoek in the Khomas Region at Beijing Street, 7 De Laan.
A 24-year-old Lesley Kamwi was allegedly stabbed with a knife after a fight broke out between the two. An ambulance transported the deceased to hospital and he succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect has been arrested after she was found in a location in Katutura.
The knife, used in the commission of the crime was also found and seized by the police.
His next of kin have been informed.
