A 44 year old woman employed as a domestic worker will appear today in the Tsumeb Magistrate’s court after she allegedly stole her employer’s jewelry valued between N$ 80 000 and N$ 100 000, Oshikoto regional commander, Commissioner Teopoline Nashikaku said.
It is reported that the employer left for vacation in December and discovered his jewelry box was missing on 14 January when he returned.
“He enquired from his domestic worker who responded that she had never seen the jewelry box’s she was questioned by the police yesterday and confessed that she had stolen the box and sold the pieces, containing of rings, bracelets, watches, earrings and necklaces. They have all been recovered,” Nashikaku said.
