Namibia Prepares to Host CAVB Zone VI Beach Volleyball Tour 2024

The Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) Zone VI Beach Volleyball Tour is gearing up for an action-packed 2024 season, with Namibia set to host the inaugural leg of the tournament. Scheduled to take place at the DTS beach volleyball courts in Windhoek from April 4th to April 7th, 2024, the event promises to kick off the season in style.

This follows Namibia’s successful hosting of the same event last year, reaffirming the country’s commitment to promoting beach volleyball in the region.

Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Angola have confirmed their participation, ensuring a diverse and competitive field. Namibia itself will be well represented, with 6 male and 6 female teams ready to showcase the nation’s prowess on the sand.

“We are thrilled to welcome teams from across the Zone to Namibia for the first leg of the CAVB Zone VI Beach Volleyball Tour,” stated Mr. Tobias Mwatelulo, Vice President of the Namibian Volleyball Federation (NVF), “This tournament not only provides a platform for fierce competition but also promotes camaraderie and friendship among participating nations.”

The CAVB Zone VI Beach Volleyball Tour serves as more than just a showcase of athletic talent. It plays a crucial role in providing teams with valuable experience at the zonal level, with an eye on international competitions such as the African and Olympic qualifiers. Furthermore, the tour contributes to the growth and development of beach volleyball across the African continent, paving the way for future generations of athletes to excel on the global stage.
